Gimbal Ranks on Inc. 5000 for Second Year in a Row
Identity + Location-Driven Advertising and Marketing Platform, Gimbal, Ranks Among America’s Fastest-Growing Companies
Los Angeles | August 15, 2018 – Inc. Magazine today revealed its 37th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, and Gimbal made the list for the second year in a row. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment: its independent small businesses. Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Diving deeper into the numbers, Gimbal was the 19th-fastest growing company in Los Angeles across all categories and fifth within Advertising & Marketing. Other notable LA-based companies that topped the list include Omaze, MuteSix, Collab, and Unitas Global.
“Being named to the Inc. 5000 once is an achievement most companies never get to experience. Being named to the list for the second year in a row is a feat we are incredibly proud of and an honor we hold firmly. It speaks volumes about the dedication and hard work of our team, the relationships we maintain, and the value we provide to our clients. Remaining focused on the vision of the company will continue to be a driving force in how we operate, and we’re excited about what’s next.”
– Matthew Russo, CMO

About the Inc. 5000
The Inc. 5000 is a list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. Started in 1982, this prestigious list has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success.
Methodology: The 2018 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2014 and 2018. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generated revenue by March 31, 2014. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2017. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2014 is $100,000; the minimum for 2017 is $2 million.
