Hacking Innovation & Engineering Solutions
“Surround yourself with the dreamers, and the doers, the believers, and thinkers…”
Not to cut off the rest of Edmund Lee’s quote, but that pretty much sums up our team at Gimbal.
We recently put together an internal hackathon where our developers and engineers got to play with technology for two days and come up with innovative ideas from mobile apps to new attribution models. While it wasn’t a requirement to come up with ideas that would add value to the company, it wasn’t technically discouraged either.
Some of the buzzwords covered included:
- Augmented Reality
- Graph Database
- Big Data
- Machine Learning
- Real Time Dashboards
And below are a few ideas the team came up with…
White Labeled Attribution
Attribution for mobile ad campaigns. We’ve already arrived at a solution for that. But imagine being able to tie attribution to other types of marketing channels via physical world data? Well, we’ve built a prototype for that.
The Mobile Seller
An iOS app for tracking campaign performance and sharing reports over email and text message while on the go. Talk about always-on.
A food truck mobile app that would utilize Gimbal beacons to notify users when their favorite food trucks are nearby. The app would also send data to food truck owners about the best places to park during prime eating times.
Augmented Reality (AR) is opening up game-changing experiences for consumers to engage in their real environment with a product or service. Enter the future of Programmatic ads in AR.
Gain insightful information on your visitors’ interests based on the places they visit most AND find other audiences that exhibit similar real-world behaviors based on location. It’s taking audience segmentation and targeting to another level with location 2.0.
A tool to find devices that have significant overlap in their most frequently visited places.
Exploration and implementation of several methodologies for cross-device attribution using graph-based community detection approaches.
Simply put, we work with amazingly bright and talented people that are constantly making decisions on how to make data more accessible while keeping up with the latest technology and best practices – not to mention constantly challenging themselves and others to think differently.
Would any of these ideas move the needle for your company? Get in touch.
